Native American Identity
For my final project for my reporting class, my partner, Tatum Pugh, and I worked on a long-form multimedia package for our convergence editing class. We wanted to explore a rather controversial topic, Native American Identity, through the Bureau of Indian Affairs' federal recognition process in the United States.
This story was perhaps the most challenging project I've ever worked on; not only did the project challenge my multimedia skills, but it was a challenging topic to cover. However, I thoroughly enjoyed immersing myself in the reporting and editing process of this project. Over the multiple months it took us to complete our project, my problem-solving skills and my ability to efficiently multitask improved immensley.
